Smith, beloved husband of Susan Irene Smith; devoted father of Judith Anne McCowan, Michael Stelman Smith and Valerie Ruth Morris; dear adoptive father of Vickie Lynn Losh and Rev. Jasina B. Wise; cherished father-in-law of Lura McCowan, Carol Smith, Jeffery Morris and Jesse Losh precious grandfather of Christina, Katie, Christy, George, Kirstin, Michael, Jr., Norman, Gregory, Grace, Eva and Lindsay; loving great grandfather of Payton, Jensen, Nicholas, Caden and Aubrey. Smith, beloved husband of Susan Irene Smith; devoted father of Judith Anne McCowan, Michael Stelman Smith and Valerie Ruth Morris; dear adoptive father of Vickie Lynn Losh and Rev. Jasina B. Wise; cherished father-in-law of Lura McCowan, Carol Smith, Jeffery Morris and Jesse Losh precious grandfather of Christina, Katie, Christy, George, Kirstin, Michael, Jr., Norman, Gregory, Grace, Eva and Lindsay; loving great grandfather of Payton, Jensen, Nicholas, Caden and Aubrey. Rev. Dr. Smith served in the United States Navy Submarine Service, was a retired Sergeant with the Baltimore City Police Dept., Chaplain Emeritus of the Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge and Baltimore City Lodge 3, retired Director of Zion's Hill Ministries, Missionary to Africa and India, and retired Chaplain at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. He also authored two books.

Family and Friends may honor Stelman's life at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. (9705 Belair Road Nottingham, MD 21236) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. His Home Going will be celebrated at the Life Source International Church of God (7000 Rossville Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21237) on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may visit an hour prior to the service. Stelman will be laid to rest to await the resurrection at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens (200 E. Padonia Rd. Timonium, MD 21093). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Earth Ablaze at Life Source International Church of God (7000 Rossville Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21237.
